Huawei Mate X 5G Hand On

As early as February 2019, Huawei has released the first folding smartphone – Huawei Mate X. The global market launch continues to be delayed. The news shows Huawei Mate X would be available in China at the end of 2019. If you didn’t know this phone, the Huawei Mate X is not immediately recognizable as a folding smartphone. Rather, the stately size in the closed state catches the eye. The Mate X is relatively wide so the people with big hands would hold it in one hand easily.

The workmanship is very good, but the device does not feel as high-quality as the other premium smartphones due to the flexible plastic-protected display.

The Huawei Mate X will be sold as a 5G smartphone. At the first speed tests in Sunrise’s 5G network , the device reached speeds of around 1 GBit/s in the downlink and up to 150 MBit/s in the uplink at the trade fair stand. A HiSilicon Balong 5000 5G modem developed by Huawei, is used.

 

The other 4G, 3G and 2G mobile technologies are handled by the Kirin 990 SoC, which is also used in the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G. Originally the Mate X should still come with the predecessor chipset Kirin 980 on the market.

Incidentally, Google apps were not installed on the test device on display, which is probably one of the reasons why Huawei has not provided any further information on a possible launch in Europe.  Perhaps due to the limit policy from Google, some other Huawei 5G smartphones also don’t have Google apps or service. Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G Smartphone Review

Huawei Mate X Foldable Smartphone Will Be Presented at MWC2019

A couple of days ago, Samsung presented its world’s foldable smartphone named Galaxy Fold, which soon attracts the focus. After the bezel-less display design, there is a high chance that foldable phone is going to be the next significant trend in the smartphone world. Previously, there was a report suggesting that many brands are now in the development phase for their first ever foldable device. Huawei, the world’s third largest smartphone supplier, will release its first foldable phone and named it Huawei Mate X, which was leaked by the banner for Huawei show at MWC2019.

Per the leaked information, we can see the Huawei Mate X specs includes two 5.9-inch IPS LCD screens with the resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Moreover, the Huawei device also opens up like a book and lets you use it on both tablet mode and smartphone mode. Additionally, the Huawei flagship comes with a notch on the display and metal back panel.

As per the concept, Huawei Mate X phone will sport two separate displays. One of the screens will measure 5-inches, while the other will be 8-inches in size both of which will be supporting HDR 10. Samsung Presents Galaxy S10 in 5G Version

High-end 5G Smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is technically very similar to the Galaxy S10+, but comes with a slightly larger 6.7-inch display. The resolution is 1440 x 3040 pixels identical to the S10+. Another difference is with the cameras. The S10+ has a fourth camera with a so-called “Time of Flight” functionality and additionally allows a “Multi Level Bokeh Effect”. In addition, the camera allows the measurement of objects.

Samsung Galaxy S10 – Released Time: Feb, 11

 

Samsung had already announced the date to launch the Galaxy S10 a few months ago.
