Summary

From the specs table, we can see even though the two Huawei LTE routers has the similar appearance. They are different in the specs. Huawei B715 is more advanced in the specs, it could support LTE category 9 and could achieve download speed up to 450Mbps while the Huawei B612 modem supports LTE Cat6 and achieve download speed to 300mbps. Huawei B612 has two variant models: B612s-25d and B612s-51d while Huawei B715 has only one model now. The variant models make the unlocked B612 could work in more widespread areas with more possible network providers. We suppose there will be new variant models available for the B715 router in future like Huawei B593 Router.

The Huawei B715 could support up to 64 wireless devices while Huawei B612 could support only half to 32 users simultaneously. Actually, in most cases, the support of 32 users would be enough for daily use. Since the Huawei B612 is latest 4G+ Cat6 router, the Huawei B715 price is very close to it. But we suppose the price of Huawei B612 would be down soon when there is mass supply of the unit. In our opinion, the Huawei B715 and B612 are both very good WiFi router for home and office use. Their functions are very similar and even though they support different LTE Category, in real use, you may not find the real difference in connection speeds.

Huawei B525 VS Huawei B528 LTE CPE

Huawei released a series of LTE cubes for LTE-A or LTE-A Pro networks. Some people want to change their 3G router or ADSL router to 4G LTE Router or 4G LTE Cube, however, for those who don’t know well about Huawei routers, they may have trouble to choose the Huawei 4G WiFi router or Huawei LTE Cubes. Huawei B525 and Huawei B528 are two typical WiFi routers, but what’s the difference between Huawei B528 and B525, and which one is better for home or office gateway. In this article, you will find the answer from our comparison.

Huawei B528 VS Huawei B525 Appearance and Interfaces

As the new Huawei LTE Advanced router, Huawei Router B525 is a traditional stationary router. On the front, there are five indicators for Power, Mode, WiFi, LAN, and Signal. The Huawei B525 LTE WiFi router could stand on the desktop and in white or black colors. There are 4 LAN ports (One of them for WAN/LAN), One telephone port and one USB 2.0 port. However, if you see the Huawei B528, you would be attracted by the cool design. The Huawei B528 looks like the latest Huawei B818 5G CPE; they are both in the shape of a column. The white color Huawei B528 makes it look good when standing with the modern furniture. The LED indicators are also available, including Signal, LAN, WiFi, and Power. The power button is below the indicators. On the back, there is only one LAN port (RJ45) and one VoIP port(RJ11).

As the standard configuration for Huawei Router with Ethernet port, two connectors for external antennas are available. The connectors in Huawei B525 are SMA-female while the Huawei B528 has two TS-9 connectors. If you want to buy Huawei B525 antenna, the connector in the antenna should be SMA-male. And if you want to use the antenna with Huawei B528, you need an SMA-to-TS-9 adapter. The two routers both use Micro SIM card size, and the SIM card slots are both located at the bottom of the router. Some customers who are not familiar with the router may don’t know where to plug the SIM card in.

Huawei B525 VS Huawei B528 Specs and Variant Models

Huawei E5776s-601 4G LTE Cat4 Mobile Hotspot

Our site has been published several stories about 4G Mobile routers, access points and Wi-Fi with built-in cellular modems that support 3G. These equipments can be used to provide mobile access to the Internet in a variety of scenarios: working devices (e.g.: tablets) without a built-in modem, a backup channel for home, outdoor activities in the nature and on the road. We should also mention using the WiFi router can roam globally among the local operators and support several gadgets simultaneously. Thus it is possible to save much cost, as well as consume less battery.

Huawei E5776s-601 appearance and features

Today we tested another sub-model of this E5776 router family. Among the interesting features, the ability to support 4G/LTE network is most attractive one; with large capacity built-in battery, LCD screen and a wireless speed up to 150 Mbit/s is practical functions. Huawei E5776 offered several versions to the market, which may differ based on a range of cellular module. Our sample had a full name E5776s-601 and, according to the presented documentation, it supports 3G on 900 and 2100 MHz bands and LTE in 3, 7 and 40 (FDD 1800/2600MHz & TDD 2600MHz). We note that this E5776s-601 is also sold in a branded version of MTS named 821FT (only works with SIM-cards of this operator and its range if the device is SIM locked). There is user manual, power adapter and Micro-USB in the package box.

The size of Huawei E5776s-601 is 107 × 65 × 17 mm, and weight is approximately 140 g. However, we must realize that the battery is built-in with large capacity and a two-antenna configuration access point. At the same time, there is no wired port in the router. So the E5776 could be easily put in the bag and the pocket. The body is made of sturdy black plastic. There is no doubt that the frequent use in mobile mode, the surface becomes coated with scratches. However, the E5776 body is smooth and user friendly.

Huawei B593 = Telekom Speedbox LTE

As usual, the routers for Telekom and Vodafone are in difference label. To identify the devices, the appearance of the router is usually slightly modified (eg, color or some ports) and the logo of the mobile provider is customized for respect providers. The Speedbox LTE is in black color like Speedport LTE, while Vodafone B2000 is in white. But actually, they are the same model from HUAWEI B593, more accurately, the model number is B593u-12 LTE CPE.  From the label on the back of the router, we can see the details.

Improvements

The previous model Speedport LTE still belongs to the first Generation of LTE routers which were available in late 2010. Unfortunately, accordingly to the feedback from users, the Speedport LTE is not successful 4G equipment. LTE terminals were still scarce; therefore it had to be functional. The new version Speedbox LTE finally brings long overdue with new features and improvements.

First, the Speedbox is also backward compatible with 3G and 2G networks. This is important in case LTE is not available around. This features help Speedbox automatically revert to the next fastest standard. Previously, customers had to unfortunately live with a total failure, because the fall-back function was not anticipated at the Speedport. In addition, the router B593u-12 now dominates the LTE frequency bands at 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz. The predecessor was only designed for LTE800, ie designed for rural areas. The maximum data rate of HUAWEI B593u-12 is doubled to 100 Mbit/s downstream and 50 Mbit/s for upload. Beyond is a new USB port and connection for phones. Both analog telephone and VOIP should be possible.

Since, as already mentioned, the old Speedport is only capable of a wireless standard that Telekom provides far from two different modes. When choosing between the “Speedport LTE” and “Speedport HSPA”, the router Speedbox will choose depending on which standard is more available to the customer. This features is smart for the users who are not familiar with 4G Routers.

Availability

The Speedbox is available in the Telekom retail stores and online store www.4gltemall.com without LTE contracts. Many users prefer unlocked Speedbox, or more honestly, they would choose the factory model HUAWEI B593u-12 because they are just logo or appearance difference, functions are all the same and original factory model is SIM free for any operators.
