Telekom Speedport LTE Router HUAWEI B390s-2

Telekom Speedport LTE Router HUAWEI B390S (exactly: B390s-2) is being used by three network operators in Germany in the LTE operation. Manufacturer Huawei called the LTE router B390, so it is also called O2. Telekom offers the device to its LTE customers under the name "Speedport LTE" and Vodafone customers to get the router as Vodafone B1000.

The router is made of entirely of plastic, is not very large and can be positioned relatively well and inconspicuously in the apartment. On front it indicates illuminated icons on network strength, and wireless and power function, on the back are 4 100Mbit/s LAN ports placed for connecting computers or other routers. On the back, there is also a stick which shows the information for configuraton, such as WiFi SSID, WiFi key/password, admin address on web and enter password. The power supply port is beside the lan ports. Under a cover, you will find 2 external antenna ports for MIMO because the LTE MiMo technology can be used only when 2 antenna are connected.

Actually, customer usually compare Telecom Speedport LTE with Vodafone B1000 4G Router. Indeed, they are the same model with different brand, same functions and come from the same manufacture Huawei. There is another model Vodafone B2000 4G LTE Router, which come from HUAWEI B390S-2 LTE Router, with high configuration of 2 VOIP Port for Phone, besides lan ports and antenna ports.

However, Speedport LTE B390 doesn't support UMTS, GSM or EDGE network. It's a pure LTE receiver. The upgraded later version HUAWEI B593 LTE CPE is expected to support LTE When UMTS, GSM and EDGE is backup to be available when there is no 4G LTE network coverage.
