And other Smartphone and MediaQ serials terminals further highlight the strength of Huawei LTE data terminals.

In 2012, LTE set off a wave of building climax in the world. Comparing to the fixed network by the transmission rate, and a relative fixed network, LTE data service is more flexible business laying relatively 2G, 3G cheaper single-bit cost, and relatively Wi-MAX, and incorporates a much more mature industry chain. So more and more wireless operators, fixed-line operators, Wi-MAX operators are beginning to invest in LTE business. According to the GSA report shows that in January 2013, 381 operators in 114 countries are building LTE networks, and 145 LTE networks in 66 countries have officially commercial, expected at the end of 2013, total 234 providers’ LTE networks would be launched to commercial in 83 countries.

Commercial LTE network is inseparable from the support of the terminal, and the data terminal is no doubt a pioneer. With the wide range of commercial LTE network, a large number of LTE data terminals become personal essentials into the home and for small and medium-sized enterprises, and scale. Huawei played an important role in this regard. As of the end of December, Huawei has more than 90% of the commercial LTE network provides a service terminal 12 annual shipments of more than 3 million units.

“Huawei is one of the few vendors who are able to provide wide coverage, multi-band, end-to-end solutions and in current success makes us confident about the future.” Said Liu Xiaobin, vice president of Huawei mobile broadband product line, Huawei will always focus customer center, from the needs of customers and consumers, to leading-edge technology and leading design, sustainable and innovative spirit, to bring consumers leading experience and help customers achieve sustained commercial success. ”

In fact, Huawei LTE has global leader in the powerful technical strength. Huawei, the world’s first LTE CPE B390 VDF effective in helping to achieve the coverage of the dead zone of Germany rural fixed-line, the world’s first TD-LTE multi-mode data card E392 boost Saudi carriers STC offers the world’s first TD-LTE network services, the mobile hotspot GL01P, GL04P long-term rotation occupy Japan data terminal weekly sales champion. Huawei is currently the only supplier can provide the LTE Cat4 terminal, an industry-leading one year ahead, so far HUAWEI has shipped for more than 40 carriers. In 2013, HUAWEI will also give consumers exciting support LTE Cat6 terminal peak downlink rates of up to 300Mbps; With innovation, Huawei will release the world’s first LTE Cat4 Wingle E8278, support 10 Wi-Fi devices to connect at the same time, share a high-speed network, and other similar Wingle family products by Charger, Car Charger, charging treasure a variety of ways such as power supply. E8278 also supports Huawei’s own patented plug-and-play networking 15 seconds HiLink technology, reducing the failure rate significantly enhance product usability, some customers after use HiLink patented technology, product failure rate from 1.8% down to 0.3 %, not only a substantial increase user stickiness, and at the same time make the user’s Web experience more perfect.

HUAWEI E392u-21 and E392u-92 4G LTE TDD USB Modem

As one of the top telecom equipment supplier, Huawei has been leading the trend of 4G network. To meet the demand for network upgrade, many 4G LTE modems are released with new LTE technology. TDD, as the one of the two most popular LTE technologies, is widely adapted for 4G network in many providers all over the world.

Huawei E392u-21 and E392u-92 are born to support TDD networks. Even though there are many variants for Huawei E392 or Huawei E397, Huawei E392u-21 and E392u-92 should be the most popular two models, because HUAWEI E392u-21 and E392u-92 both support 4G TDD band 2600Mhz, what’s more, HUAWEI E392u-92 supports TDD 2300MHz. What’s more, HUAWEI E392u-21 also supports 4G FDD 2600MHz.

Actually, the 4G Spectrum TDD 2300/2600MHz and FDD 2600MHz are the most popular bands which are commonly deployed and launched to commercial. So the difference between the two 4G LTE dongles is the 4G Frequency band supported. Below are the details of 4G Frequency they could support:

HUAWEI E392u-92:

4G LTE bands: TDD 2300/2600 Mhz

3G UMTS: 900/2100Mhz

HUAWEI E392u-21:

4G LTE Bands: FDD 2600MHz/ TDD 2600Mhz

3G UMTS: 900/2100Mhz

Unlike HUAWEI E392u-21, HUAWEI E392u-92 could only work on 4G LTE TDD network. Since then, HUAWEI E392u-21 may support high link speed than E392u-92. Under FDD network, HUAWEI E392u-21 could reach peak download data rate at 100Mbit/s and upload data rate up to 50Mbps. But the maximum speed for HUAWEI E392u-92 to download is 68Mbps while upload peak speed is 17Mbps. When working on TDD network, HUAWEI E392u-21 could also run at this speed.

HUAWEI E392u-92 is somewhat like ZTE MF820T, but it seems HUAWEI E392u-92 is better because E392u-92 works on multi-mode, 3G & 2G network are backward while ZTE MF820T is single mode for 4G LTE TDD 2300/2600MHz. And with external antenna connector, HUAWEI E392u-92 would get high data rate in practical with MIMO antenna.

With the same compact design, HUAWEI E392u-92 and E392u-12 both have 2 external pigtail connectors. With MIMO technology, the transmission rate for data would improve obviously whenever in laboratory or practical usage.

It’s a pity that HUAWEI E392u-21 couldn’t support 2300MHz, which let E392u-92 has its special features. They both work for 4G TDD network and both are good 4G dongles worthy to have if there is 4G TDD network available round you.

ZTE MF880 and MF820T 4G LTE TDD USB Modem

As one of the most important 4G vendors, ZTE has released many 4G LTE modems. ZTE MF820T and MF880 are two of the popular TDD models.

Just like other 4G LTE modems from ZTE, ZTE MF880 and MF820T followed the same design as ZTE MF820 4G LTE FDD Surf stick. The modem body is a little bit larger than usual 3G USB stick. And taking them in hand, users can feel the weight is more than 3G modems.

What is a pity that both ZTE MF820T and MF880 don’t have the connectors for external antenna. Perhaps at the big inning when engineer designed the mode, they didn’t take this factor into their blueprint. As we can see, in the serials of ZTE MF820D, MF821, MF821D, MF820S2, MF820T, MF880, they all incorporates no antenna ports. As the key features of MIMO connection, we are afraid it may not be as good as the modems with MIMO antenna for data transmission.

ZTE MF820T and MF880 both work for 4G LTE TDD network, perhaps due to for different providers, they support different TDD frequency bands as below:

ZTE MF820T 4G LTE TDD Single Mode USB Modem:

* Single mode LTE TDD 2300/2600MHz

ZTE MF880 4G FDD TDD USB Modem:

* FDD 800/2600MHz

* TDD 2300/2600MHz

* DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS 2100/900MHz

* EDGE/GPRS/GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz

This should the key difference between ZTE MF820T and MF880. Per current information, ZTE MF880 had need presented to public under provider “3” from UK. And ZTE MF820T should be for China Mobile. What should focus is that ZTE MF880 could also support FDD LTE band 800/2600MHz. It means MF880 could switch between FDD and TDD networks, so ZTE MF880 is somewhat like a enhanced ZTE MF820T.

Regarding the data transmission speed, they both support download speed at 68Mbps and upload at 17Mbps under TDD –LTE network. ZTE MF880 seems more powerful because when working at FDD network, the peak speed could reach to 100Mbps for downlink while uplink could reach 50Mbps.

In conclusion, ZTE MF880 seems more powerful than ZTE MF820T, so if you want to want buy ZTE 4G LTE TDD USB Modems, welcome to www.4gltemall.com

ZTE MF880 4G LTE FDD TDD Modem Review

ZTE had release many 4G modems, such as ZTE MF820, MF820D, MF821, MF821D, MF820T, MF820s2 and MF880 etc.. And many 4G mobile WiFi are available now on the market. Today, we get the ZTE MF880 4G Modem and we will show the details for readers. Hope you will know more about this modem ZTE MF880.

Logo and USB Interface

The ZTE MF880 is with logo “3”, which means it’s customized by the UK operator “3”.

Like ZTE MF820, ZTE MF880 also has a rotatable USB interface; the USB could be hidden in the body of the modem. And beside the logo, there is a small indicator in oval shape, which will help users to know more about the connection status.

Back

On the back, the model number MF880 is printed on this modem. With the model number, there is CE number, RoHS mark and below them is the IMEI number of this modem, which is on behalf of the modem’s ID. The IMEI number is printed on the back cover, unlike ZTE MF820, whose IMEI number is on a extra stick. And it also show the original produce place “Made in China”. ZTE also print its brand with this mark.

Inner Part

Beside the indicator, there is a little cap to open the back cover of ZTE MF880. But you may take effort to open. At this point, the modem is not user-friendly. The cover is very tight. After opened the modem, you can find the SIM card at the side of the body. But there is no slot for memory card. And it’s a pity that it also doesn’t have even one external antenna connector. In 4G LTE technology, the MIMO connection is one of the most important features for high speed data transmission.

Network bands

According to the official files from ZTE, the ZTE MF880 4G LTE Modem could support 4G LTE TDD and FDD bands as follows:

* LTE FDD DD800/2600 MHz

* LTE TDD 2300/2600MHz

* 3G UMTS 900/2100MHz

So unlocked ZTE MF880 could support all the operators who had launched Band 20, band 7, band 40 or band 38. ZTE MF880 should be one of the LTE modems which could support TDD and FDD simultaneously. If you want to buy unlocked ZTE MF880, welcome to land www.4gltemall.com .

What’s the difference Between ZTE MF820S2 and ZTE MF820T?

As one of the LTE vendors over the world, ZTE had released many 4G USB Modems for operators all over the world. Most of them have been presented to the public with the commercial LTE systems.

We found there are two similar models: ZTE MF820S2 and ZTE MF820T. Today, we will introduce what’d the difference between the two LTE USB Modems.

ZTE MF820T is a 4G LTE TDD Modem for 2300/2600Mhz with download speed up to 100Mbps and upload speed to 17Mbps. The bandwidth is 10MHz and 20MHz.

ZTE MF820S2 is greater than MF820T, it can work not only on LTE TDD 1900/2300/2600 MHz, but also on FDD network (band 2600MHz). Under TD-LTE network, the peak speed is almost the same as MF820T, but under FDD network, the peak speed could reach 100Mbps while upload speed could reach 50Mbps.

What’s more, the 3G TD-SCDMA and WCDMA networks are both available for ZTE MF820S2. This feature makes it more powerful than MF820T.

Above are the key difference between ZTE MF820S2 and ZTE MF820T. If you want to buy any of them, welcome to check www.4gltemall.com .

Will you choose Vodafone K5005 or ZTE MF820D?

In most cases, if you have a look at a Huawei 4G USB modem, you can also the similar model from its competitor ZTE, we don’t know whether Huawei followed ZTE or the contrary, but the two vendors are playing more and more important role in global telecom market.

Today, we will compare two similar LTE FDD modems Huawei K5005 (also name Vodafone K5005) and ZTE MF820D.

Vodafone K5005 is a customized model from Huawei, the factory model number is Huawei E398 4G LTE FDD TDD multi-mode Data card. Vodafone changed the UI of this modem to its classic red color, which looks much cooler than the other Huawei E398 branch models.

ZTE MF820D is the derivative model from ZTE MF820. Also with the rotatable USB design, it’s in big sharp.

LTE Spectrum

To support Vodafone 4G LTE network in Germany, Huawei K5005 could work on FDD frequency 800/2600MHz. ZTE MF820D could work on FDD band 800/2100/2600MHz, which let it support more operators. Of course, it could also support Vodafone 4G network in Germany.

External Antenna Connector

Here now, most USB modems have built-in antenna. So do Vodafone K5005 and ZTE MF820D. To gain better signal so that users could surf in higher speed, MIMO technology is used to meet this demand. The obvious feature of MIMO is that there are two external antenna connectors.

We could see that Vodafone K5005 has double external antenna ports, with two pigtails; the 4G modem will provide amazing speed. However, follow the design of ZTE MF820, there is no port in MF820D.

Frankly speaking, the modem with external pigtail hole would be better than modem without antenna connector. To gain better signal and high surf speed, you will need the external antenna. But if you don’t use them, it would be the same to choose any of them. Because in our testing, the test speeds are almost the same under same networking conditions.

If you need more LTE Modems, welcome to check http://www.4gltemall.com/4g-usb-modem.html

Will you buy HUAWEI E398u-11 or ZTE MF820 for your 4G LTE Modem?

As the top telecommunication equipment suppliers in China, ZTE and Huawei are always competing from 3G to 4G market. To share the global market, they may release similar telecom products for wireless network. Huawei E398u-11 4G LTE Surfstick and ZTE MF820 4G USB dongle are two similar modems that both works for 4G LTE FDD network band 1800/2100/2600MHz.

Then here comes the question: which one is better between Huawei E398u-11 and ZTE MF820 4G LTE USB Modem?

Appearance

From the appearance, they both in rotatable USB design and the modem body is somewhat bigger than common 3G USB dongles. Huawei E398u-11 seems cooler because the design is inspired by luxury car.

External Antenna Connector

There are two external antenna connectors in HUAWEI E398u-11 but there is no external antenna port in ZTE MF820. With 2 x 2 MIMO antenna, the speed would be double or may even triple faster.

Operation

If you want to plug 4G SIM card to the modem ZTE MF820, you need to open the whole back cover of MF820. And according the writer’s experience, the design is not user-friendly, because the first question is you don’t know where to open it, second, after you find the little cap to open, you may be unable to open it if you don’t too much effort. And you must two hands together to work. But if taking too much effort, you may worry to break the modem. You will never wish to break the modem before using it.

In this case, Huawei E398u-11 is easy to operate. There is only a short cap of a third of back cover. One hand can open it easily.

Mobile partner operation

Most of HUAWEI E398u-11 4G Modem is with mobile partner, like ZTE, it also has its own operation software. Both of them would take a little bit long time to install and get ready for connection. With large firmware, sometimes, they may let your PC run very slowly. But I personally like HUAWEI mobile partner more, because it seems HUAWEI Mobile partner is more simple and easier to setup than ZTE.

Connection speed

HUAWEI E398u-11 and ZTE MF820 could both connect in few seconds, actually, it may depends on the external network situation to determine which could connects faster. Under the same condition, HUAWEI E398u-11 may connect faster than ZTE MF820 for only 2-4 seconds, usually, we can’t notice that.

The above factors are important for a user to choose a 4G LTE USB modem, but it seems the two modems are equal to buy. HUAWEI E398u-11 is just better in appearance and antenna function, other factors are almost same, in this case, users can choose per their preference. If you like cool model and better signal and speed to surf, you should choose HUAWEI E398u-11, but if you want practical modem with better price, ZTE MF820 should be taken into your consideration.

How to Set Up Huawei E392 Wireless Connection

4G LTE modems are more and more popular, when users experience the new technology; they also face the problem about setting the new dongles.

Actually, it’s not difficult to set a 4G modem. Today we will have a short introduction of how to set up Huawei E392 4G LTE FDD TDD Surf sticks. Huawei E392 is the most popular 4G LTE dongle all over the world, that’s why we choose this modem.

First step, users must install the software- named Mobile Partner, to PC. For different operators, the version of Mobile partner may vary, but basic functions are the same. If there is already Mobile Partner, it’s better to uninstall it and reinstall the new. Of course, I mean the first time you use the 4G modem.

Secondly, after the drivers are installed to PC, it’s time to set up the modem. Sometimes, the mobile partner may cannot detect SIM card or detected the SIM card is invalid, you need to switch out the E392 Modem from the PC and pull SIM card out and Re-plug it. Usually, it’s due the slow reflection from PC. The 4G software is configured with many new technology of data transmission, when it runs, it may cause the PC system run very slowly.

After the Mobile partner detected Huawei E392 and the SIM. Now click the head column “tools”, there is “Options”, then you can see there are “General”, Text Message, Profile Management and Network.

And then in the Profile Management, you need set below information:

– Profile Name:  4GLTEMALL (It’s just a name, you could write any name you like, default starts automatically)

– APN: Static check

– APN: @@@ (you need to check the APN of your SIM card provider and then enter the right one)

– Access number: * 99 #

– User name: 4GLTEMALLCOM

– Password: 4GLTEMALLCOM

(User name and password could write anything you can remember)

Then set this profile as default and Click “OK”.

Next step, click Tools– Network.

There are 4 options in the dropdown-LTE only, WCDMA only, GSM only and Auto. If you are using 4G SIM card, you can choose “LTE only”, the other 3 options are also usable. But if you are using 3G card, “LTE only” is not workable. Usually, choose “Auto” is good to choose because the modem will switch automatically for users to choose available fastest speed. If the fastest network disconnect, the mobile partner will switch lower lever network and auto connects so that users could keep surfing.

After choose the network, click “apply” and “ok”, then back to home Manu. Click “Connect” button. You can easily get connected with network and access to surf.

This setting method is also applicable for HUAWEI 4G LTE USB Modem such as E398, E397 etc…So if you are in trouble using your HUAWEI 4G LTE Dongles, you can follow the steps to get 4G networks connected.
