Sierra Wireless EM9291 5G NR Sub-6 M.2 Module

Sierra Wireless EM9291 is a new 5G-NR Sub-6 GHz Cellular Module in an M.2 form factor. Sierra AirPrime EM9291 is compatible with Sierra Wireless EM9191 module for a simple upgrade path to get the latest standards compliance and bands, as well as the EM7690 module to help facilitate the migration and differentiation between 4G LTE and 5G.

Ideal for industrial M2M and mobile computing solutions, the Sierra Wireless™ EM9291 embedded module delivers up to 4.9Gbps downlink and 600 Mbps uplink high speed connectivity. The Sierra EM9291 offers the latest available air link technology supporting 5G NR Sub 6 GHz. The EM9291 supports 30 worldwide 5G and LTE bands and is ideal for global deployment with approvals from multiple NAM, EMEA, and APAC carriers. Supporting USB 3.1 and PCIe gen 3 single lane host interfaces, the AirPrime EM9291 offers an easy upgrade path from LTE to 5G NR.

With automatic 4G and 3G fallback networks and integrated GNSS receiver (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo satellite systems supported), the EM9291 is applicable to a wide range of IoT applications such as industrial routers, home gateways, industrial and consumer laptops, rugged tablet PCs, video surveillance and digital signage.
