Vodafone R210 Firmware Update

A few days ago a firmware update for the Vodafone R210 LTE MiFi router is available. The new software fixes a problem with the automatic APN setting, which led to connection problems for many users of the R210. The Vodafone R210 is made by Huawei, the software problem cause the result: an internet connection came up with a normal data contract does not set up the APN automatically and you had to manually change the APN back to web.vodafone.de. With the update available now, this problem has been fixed. The new firmware is available on the Vodafone website to be downloaded, and the installation is done via the USB cable. Important note: After updating the Vodafone R210 firmware, it should be reset to factory settings.

 

 

The Vodafone R210 MiFi router was the first LTE mobile hotspot in Germany. It came on the market in the summer of 2012 and is still available today: up to 100 Mbit/s for the downlink and 50 Mbit/s for the uplink with the R210 and up to 10 users can use the Internet connection via WiFi at the same time. Now as the successor of Vodafone R210, Vodafone R215 (Factory model Huawei E5372) and Huawei E5776 on the market already support LTE with 150 Mbit/s and are technically more sophisticated.
