What’s the Difference between Sierra 770s and 754s 4G Mobile Hotspot?

At the beginning of 2013, the US vendor Sierra Wireless released a new 4G LTE mobile Hotspot Sierra 770 Wireless Aircard. Actually, we feel puzzled why Sierra Wireless released the 770s. It’s not because there is already AirCard 770s, but there is another similar 4G AirCard from Sierra 754s. The model number is 754s. What makes us more curious is that the AirCard 770s and AirCard 754s are both for the provider AT&T, in our opinion, they are very similar, almost the same functions besides the appearance.

 

 

Let’s have a review of the two 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot Sierra 770s and Sierra 754s. Hope to find something unknown.

 

Chipset

From the official specification, we found Sierra 770s Mobile Hotspot incorporates dual-chipset (Qualcomm MDM 9215 and WTR1605L) while Sierra 754s has only one chipset Qualcomm MDM 9200. In this case, Aircard 770s should have upgraded the chipset to have better performance.

 

Network Band

They both work for LTE 700MHz (Band 17) / AWS (Band 4), which is the AT&T 4G LTE network spectrums. But there is some difference on 3G UMTS bands; the Sierra AirCard 770s could support HSPA/HSPA+ 850/1900 MHz while Sierra 754s supports UMTS/WCDMA 850/900/2100 MHz. On 2G network, Sierrra 770s works on GPRS/EDGE 850/1900 MHz while 754s works on Quad-Band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz). This should be the key difference between them. Because the 3G network band decides which model could be used.

What’s the difference Between ZTE MF820S2 and ZTE MF820T?

As one of the LTE vendors over the world, ZTE had released many 4G USB Modems for operators all over the world. Most of them have been presented to the public with the commercial LTE systems.

 

We found there are two similar models: ZTE MF820S2 and ZTE MF820T. Today, we will introduce what’d the difference between the two LTE USB Modems.

 

 

ZTE MF820T is a 4G LTE TDD Modem for 2300/2600Mhz with download speed up to 100Mbps and upload speed to 17Mbps. The bandwidth is 10MHz and 20MHz.

 

ZTE MF820S2 is greater than MF820T, it can work not only on LTE TDD 1900/2300/2600 MHz, but also on FDD network (band 2600MHz). Under TD-LTE network, the peak speed is almost the same as MF820T, but under FDD network, the peak speed could reach 100Mbps while upload speed could reach 50Mbps.
