AVM FRITZ! Box 6842 LTE CPE

AVM launches new FRITZ box for LTE models - FRITZ! Box 6842 LTE with more performance and comfort for LTE. It's the upgraded model for 4G LTE network in Germany.

The Berlin communication specialist AVM is expanding its commitment to LTE. Following the successful launch of the first FRITZ! LTE, AVM presented at Cebit two new models for the LTE mobile:FRITZ! LTE 6842 and FRITZ! Box 6810 LTE. They are both set to a new, specially developed elegant design for LTE deployment. The new LTE models combine all the important communication functions in one device: LTE radio, Wi-Fi N, LAN, PABX and DECT base. The fixed line can be omitted entirely, as calls over LTE (Voice over LTE).

The two premiers Cebit FRITZ! Box 6842 LTE and FRITZ! Box 6810 LTE support the frequency bands 800 MHz and 2600 MHz. As the first device supports the 1.8 GHz band, the FRITZ! 6842 LTE additionally with its built-in category 3 LTE in the downstream, transmission rates up to 100 Mbit/s and upstream up to 50 Mbit/s. The new FRITZ! Box 6842 LTE offers with wireless N, four LAN ports, a USB port and a telephone system and DECT base peak performance for the home network and the Internet via LTE mobile. In addition it has an analog interface for existing phones or fax machines. The smaller FRITZ! 6810 LTE is with DECT, Wi-Fi N and a LAN port is the ideal entry-level product. All FRITZ! LTE models also include an integrated DECT base station for up to six cordless telephones. DECT allows the use of all the telephony features that LTE offers as NGN (Next Generation Network), including HD voice - the fixed line can be completely omitted. The new FRITZ! Box models can also use it for smartphones at home when using the LTE connection for data and telephony applications.
