Asus Blue Cave Dual Band WiFi Router

Asus Blue Cave is an AC2600 Dual Band WiFi Router for Smart Home, AiMesh for mesh wifi system, network security with AiProtection Pro. As a 4x4 AC2600 router, the Blue Cave is capable of speeds of up to 800Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 1,734Mbps on the 5GHz band. It uses an Intel 1.6GHz dual-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, and 128MB of flash memory, and it is equipped with four gigabit LAN ports, a WAN port, and a USB 3.0 port, all of which are positioned around back along with a power button, a reset button, and a WPS button. The router contains circuitry to support MU-MIMO data streaming, but it was not enabled at the time of our review. In order to maintain its sleek lines, there are no external antennas protruding from the router; instead it uses four internal antennas.

General menu items include Guest Network, AiProtection, Traffic Manager, Traffic Analyzer, USB Application, and AiCloud. The Blue Cave supports three separate guest networks for each band and can be configured to provide unlimited or timed access. AiProtection uses Trend Micro's network security engine to detect malware and viruses, block access to malicious websites, and protect your network from infected devices. It also offers robust parental controls with website filtering, timed internet access, and app filtering.
