Huawei E5786\u00a0is world\u2019s first LTE mobile hotspot with LTE Advanced Cat6 and WLAN ac, and it\u2019s one of the fastest mobile LTE router on the market.\u00a0Thanks to good facilities and powerful battery, Huawei E5786<\/strong><\/a> is popular with many users. However, there is also a small problem with the device, which annoys some users recently.<\/p>\n

Huawei has announced the E5786 in February 2014 with the so-called WiFi Extender feature, a feature that we already know from many other Huawei MiFi routers.\u00a0However, Huawei provides the appliance with different firmware versions,\u00a0in which some of\u00a0the WiFi Extender is disabled.\u00a0In this article, I want to show how to flash the firmware of Huawei E5786 to the version which is equipped with the WiFi Extender.<\/p>\n

\nOn some forums, we has found a firmware for the Huawei E5786 LTE router, a user who has already integrated the WiFi Extender function.\u00a0The firmware should be OK with both the original Huawei E5786 and the unit from Germany Telekom\u00a0(Telekom\u00a0Speedbox LTE mini II\u00a0), at least there are already reports from users who have their device successfully updated to version 21.303.07.00.00.\u00a0If one has a E5786 with telecom brand, after the flash, you will get a new firmware with no more branding. Below are the procedure how to update the firmware:<\/p>\n

  1. download the Huawei E5786 new firmware zip<\/a> and unzip all programs on PC<\/li>\n
  2. Connect Router with USB cable and at least 10% battery(Better more !!)<\/li>\n
  3. Starting the firmware .exe file with admin rights and follow the instructions<\/li>\n
  4. also flash GUI.\u00a0exe<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After about 5 minutes of process, the flash should be completed.\u00a0Some devices may require a Pin code to flash, it can be generated using IMEI number on relevant websites – here you should try Google shortly.\u00a0I personally have no customized E5786 with telecom brand to test, but in the above linked LTE Forum, there are some opinions that are positive, so I decided to publish the guide here.\u00a0Nevertheless:<\/p>\n
